Class Descriptions
Our classes start as young as 2 years old. All of our classes whether they are recreational or competitive track receive the same quality adult instruction. Our classes are capped based on age.
All levels & abilities welcome.
Tap & Jazz Combo
5-8yrs
This one-hour class allows our young students a chance to learn and enjoy two fundamental styles of Dance, exploring rhythmical and percussive movements with Tap, along with leaping and turning in Jazz. This high-energy class is a solid foundation of Dance and sure to be a favorite among your tiny Dancer!

Lyrical & Contemporary

Lyrical is ballet basics combined with modern dance set to contemporary music make this class a great addition to any jazz, ballet or tap class.
Contemporary is thought to be a hybrid of technique from the genres of Ballet, Lyrical, Modern & Jazz, even Hip Hop. It can be performed to many different styles of music, and is the most eclectic style of dance, varying from smooth and graceful movement, to sharp and athletic movement, with the common thread being a connectivity of mind and body.
Hip Hop, Tumble, Cheer & More!
5-8yrs
This one-hour class combines the cool exciting moves of Hip Hop with acro and cheer. Acrobatic training teaches flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, and above all, discipline and concentration. The skills learned in Acrobatics carry over to many aspects of a student’s life including academics and other athletic performance. Learning the basic techniques of these styles is great for students with a lot of energy.

Hip Hop
9+yrs
Hip hop is a high-energy class that infuses the latest styles of street dancing, breaking, popping, and locking. Classes will encourage students to step outside of the box by bringing their own individual style and personality to the movements. Hip hop dance requires students to have the strength and stamina to successfully perform moves. Therefore class includes upper and lower body conditioning as well as a rigorous warm-up to help prepare students for more intense movements.
Acro

Acrobatic training teaches flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, and above all, discipline and concentration. The skills learned in Acrobatics carry over to many aspects of a student’s life including academics and other athletic performance. The moves performed in Acro-Dance are referred to as tricks. Numerous tricks are commonly performed in Acro-Dances, varying widely in complexity and skills required to perform them from beginner level to advanced.
Ballet & Pointe
9+yrs
Students will learn classical ballet techniques and terminology. Each class includes barre exercises, center floor work, and across-the-floor combinations. The ballet curriculum is based on a combination of the French, Vagonova and Cecchetti methods as students progress through each level curriculum will become increasingly more complex and intricate.
Jazz

Musical Theater & Broadway Jazz
9+yrs
Jazz class will focus on learning proper dance technique such as isolations of the body, improving performance quality and developing complex rhythms and patterns. Students will be exposed to various styles of jazz such as Broadway, Street and Contemporary to help develop a well rounded dancer. Class curriculum is based on ballet technique layered with traditional jazz movement and includes a proper warm-up, stretches, isolations, across-the-floor progressions, and combinations. As students progress through each level curriculum will become increasingly more complex and intricate.
Musical Theatre class will focus on learning proper dance technique while exploring the various dance styles used in Broadway shows. Class curriculum is based on ballet technique layered with Broadway style jazz movement and includes a proper warm-up, stretches, isolations, across-the-floor progressions, and combinations. Emphasis will also be placed on learning performance skills such as connecting with the audience and telling a story through dance and facial expressions.
Tap
9+yrs
Tap classes are designed to develop rhythm, style and sound. Students will learn a variety of tap styles from Broadway to Rhythm tap. Exercises focus on building flexibility of the knee and ankles, coordination, and speed of movement. The class emphasis is on developing proper tap technique, producing clear tap sounds, and having fun. As students progress through each level curriculum will become increasingly more complex and intricate.
