Studio Policies 2024-25 

Registration Fee
A $35 non-refundable registration fee per child is required with the registration form, signed release forms,  and either a monthly tuition payment, or full year payment to reserve class space.  Registration fee is $45 after Oct 15th.  

 

Tuition Information
Monthly tuition is due on the 1st of each month. Tuition will be payable in cash, check, venmo or by credit card.  Tuition will not change regardless of the number of classes in each month.  Fees are based on a yearly tuition divided into 10 monthly payments, therefore you may not skip a month.  All fees are non-refundable.  No additional charge is applied when a fifth lesson occurs in a month, nor is there a reduction when fewer than four classes are held due to recital, major holiday, absence or inclement weather.  Monthly tuition is considered late after the 10th of each month, and a late fee in the amount of $10 shall be assessed.  A $15 late fee will be assessed for payments received after the 17th of the month.  There will also be a $30 charge on all returned checks.  Make all checks payable to: Island Dance Academy.  No checks will be accepted after May 10th- cash or credit only.  Lessons will be suspended if payments are more than one month late. 
Sibling discount- 10% off 2nd child’s tuition, 15% off each additional child's tuition.  

 

Costumes

Costume payments are broken down into 2 equal payments.  For recreational classes, the first half is due with the November tuition payment, and the second half is due with the January payment.  For competition team members, the 2 payments are due with the October & December tuition payments.  All costume payments that are not fully paid and completed by the due dates will incur an additional $10 fee PER COSTUME for special shipping.  Costumes that are ordered after January 10th must be paid in full at time of ordering.  All costume payments are non-refundable under any and all circumstances.

Withdrawals/Refund Policy

I understand that in order to withdraw from Island Dance Academy Inc., a withdrawal form is required before the first of the upcoming month to avoid further billing.  The parent/guardian of the student who is withdrawing from classes will be responsible for monthly tuition charges until this withdrawal form is completed.  There are NO refunds for classes dropped, absences or snow days.  However, we offer and encourage makeup classes.  If a student or dance family is dismissed from Island Dance Academy, they are not entitled to any refunds on costumes or tuition whatsoever.
